Moving on to Spokane so Linda can fly home. We’ll be staying at the Funny Farm, another Harvest Host.
As we were driving out of Yakima, we saw lots of fruit processing plants AND miles and miles of hops. So not only is Washington know for their fruit they must also harvest a lot of hops.
Bill connected with a former coworker of ours, Bill Gillis who now lives in Spokane. Met up with him downtown for a couple beers.
Bill Gillis said that the Yakima Valley is one of the largest hops producers in the US. After seeing the acres and acres of fields with hops growing, I can see why.
Tonight we are staying in a Harvest Host called the Funny Farm , just minutes from the airport. Linda flies out on a red eye tonight so we wanted to be close.
They have goats, chickens, pigs, bunnies and horses and LOTS of room for RVs.
Tomorrow we hope to visit the Nez Perce National Monument in Idaho.
