As you can tell, it’s cloudy and raining, which was the first rain we’ve seen in several weeks.
Tonight’s stay is at the Hoh Rainforest and Cafe in the Hoh Rainforest. We’ve stayed here before and really liked it.
We decided to hike the River Walk before driving into the Visitor’s Centre.
Lots of moss hanging.
Look how tall the ferns are here.
Just in case you need a rest. See the foot pads?
This is a salmonberry. They make jelly and honey.
We also passed lots of slugs.
Finally reached the Hoh River.
Drove to the Visitor’s Center for a hike through the forest. We’ve seen tall trees in the Redwoods, now we are seeing tall spruces and firs.
This is an uprooted tree that other trees grew out of it.
