April 13 - The lumber has finally arrived

Drew asked Bill to replace the pergola with a real roof because the sun is so hot and it bakes that spot. So Bill calculated what he needed, went to Lowe’s and ordered everything on Friday. They told him it would be delivered Monday between a four hour period. 

Went over to Drew and Erin’s and waited and waited and no lumber. 

Bill called Lowe’s to get the status of the delivery. They said it would be coming Tuesday. Again we went over and waited and waited. Good thing Drew has good beer and wine!!  Still no lumber. 

This time when he called Lowe’s, he wasn’t quite as nice. They had some excuses but said it would definitely be delivered on Thursday. He made a call to Corporate Lowes to share his frustration. At least they said they would waive the delivery fee and take an additional 10% off the price. We’ll see. 

Thursday is also they day Shan asked if I could come up and go to Arlo’s appointment with her. Of course I jumped at the chance. But that meant Erin had to help Bill build the beam for the new porch. Go Erin Go!!

Nana Peg is loving this. Banjo is not so sure about sharing me with him though. 

Arlo’s appointment went well. He’s gained a couple ounces.
