May 10 - Hike to Sugar Pine Reservoir

Shan and Carl have taken us on many adventures and today was another one. The drive to Sugar Pine Reservoir was only 30 miles but it took us over 1 .5 hours on a VErY windy, twisty road that in some places was only wide enough for one car. My highest MPH was 20!!

But when we got to the reservoir, it was all worth it. 

The hike was about 4 miles around the lake.

When we got back to where we parked the car, we had a little picnic and water time. 

Blue skies and great temps to be outside and get naked. 

Before heading back to Nevada City, we made a stop at Moonerakers for some brews, music, and pizza.
