June 30 - Spending time with Arlo

While Shan and Carl took some time to go rock climbing, Shuff, Arlo and I went on a stroller ride to town.

Had to stop in a park to see some old equipment.

The town of Squamish has several mural depicting their culture.

Mountain View’s wherever we went.

Shan and Carl met us at Alice and BROHM Real Fruit ice cream. Great for a warm day.

Back at the campground, Carl cooked us his special sauce for spaghetti.

We all loved it but this one shows how much.

Arlo Playing at the Mamquam Campground - Arlo using tongs to fill up his dump truck.

Tomorrow we leave for Kamloops, BC and the Alsups leave for Vancouver.

June 29 - Sea to Sky Gondola and hiking

Another adventure!! We rode the Sea to Sky Gondola to Chief mountain. Breathtaking views of snow capped mountains.

Then to start our hike, we walked on the swinging bridge AND it DID swing.

Carl went for a run while Shan, Arlo, Shuff and I went hiking on the Panorama Trail and the Wonderland Trail. Trails through the forest and more striking views.

Arlo snoozes as Shan and he walk.

After his snooze, Arlo walked about three-quarters of a mile. He was so much fun. He kept looking for snail poop!

Back at the gondola station we all had a much deserved drink.

June 20 - Cape Flatterly

Fifty-eight miles … but 2-1/2 hr drive to Cape Flatterly, western most point in the lower 48. Gorgeous views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Emerald green waters with rocky coast.

Stopped in Neah Bay for fry bread and peach cobbler with a view.

Andrea looking for whales.

Back at the TV for Salmon chowder and another rousing game of Sky Jo … which I won for the first time!

Our Mountain View from the winery had fog on it.

Tomorrow we will be in Ashford near Mount Ranier.

June 13 - Hike among the Redwoods

Up early to hike in the redwoods, feel their tall majesty and soak up nature. There was a lot of fog at the top of the trees as we walked in Lady Bird Johnson Grove.

A short walk on the beach because it was so windy.

Flowers in Trinidad.

May 18 - Hike and Outlaw Festival

A little gardening to start the day.

Since we were leaving the dogs for a long time while we are at the Outlaw Festival, we wanted to tire them out. A hike on the Snow Mountain Canal Trail hopefully did the trick.

We can catch this trail from Shan and Carl’s house. We hiked about 4+ miles.

Wildflowers are starting to pop.

Now it’s time for the Outlaw Festival. What a great outdoor venue. Weather was great with just enough breeze so it wasn’t so hot. TV The drive to Wheatland was easy … and sunny.

The lineup was Sierra Hull, Billy Strings, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.

Arlo didn’t care who was singing. He needed a nap!

And Nana Peg needed a drink.

It was such a fun day for all of us.
