June 25 - Fidalgo Bay

This morning started off cloudy and cool but still decided to get the bikes out for a ride into Antacortes on the Tommy Tompsom Trail which we can catch right out of the campground. Cute little town, known as the gateway to the San Juan Islands. Several ferries to take you there and whale watching tours. 

Sea lions love this area. 

Stopped at a bike shop to buy new helmets. Shuff found one but none fit me. Decided to go to their other shop in Burlington after a stop at Bastian Brewery for a drink and nachos. Found a helmet at the second location so hopefully we’ll be able to use it tomorrow for another bike ride. 

Late afternoon the sun came out so we could sit outside, relax and watch the bay. 

Picked up a few shells on the beach area. 

After dinner we took a walk and saw several sea lions searching for food in the bay. One looked right at us and posed while I got a picture. 

There are two oil refineries here, Shell and Texaco. They light up at night. 

And a nice sunset to end our day.
