May 10 - Anada Village Visit

Shan took us to Ananda Village to view their beautiful tulips and other flowers for my Mother’s Day.

The Village is such a peaceful place to relax and especially gorgeous now with all the blooming flowers. The Village overlooks the middle fork of the Yuba River valley.

Ananda is a worldwide movement to help you realize the joy of your own higher self. It is based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and was founded by his direct disciple, Swami Kiryananda in 1968.

Arlo’s big blue eyes has me captured. But he did sleep most of the 45 minute trip.

The chapel

Blue forget me nots in among the tulips was so showy.

These were huge. I think they are peonies.

More peonies.

Wisteria was in full bloom as well.

This is a tulip. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that has so many layers.

Look at the tree. Those are cherry blossoms that fell from the tree. the tree must have been loaded with blossoms because the ground was coated as well.

The weather was perfect, sunny blue skies and temps in the 60s. A very special Mothers Day for sure.
