June 21 - Mount Ranier

Pulled into the Sahara Creek Horse Camp. Have stayed here several times in the past. It’s about 10 miles from the entrance to the Park.

Ashford is the little town where we stop at the Art Gallery before heading up the twisty, windy road to the top to see Mount Ranier. So many pretty, artful things.

Unfortunately, it’s been raining most of the day and the mountain was fogged in completely. Mount Ranier is there somewhere behind the clouds.

Played more Skyjo. Since there wasn’t any sun, the solar wasn’t able to keep up so had to run the generator.

Tomorrow is another day. Hope for a brighter day.

June 12 - Head North up Route 101

Left Nevada City early for our 7 hour trip to Trinidad. The trip was a little longer because there was extensive construction on Route 299. But we made it by late afternoon with time for a walk to the beach, buy some clam chowder, and drive through the small town of Trinidad.

March 17 - Route 60 from Socorro NM to Globe AZ

Route 60 is a mix of beautiful landscapes, plains, mountains, canyons and Apache Reservation.

We passed the Radio and Astronomy Observatory.

Staying 2 nights in Globe so we can do some exploring and hiking.
