July 2 - Mule deer and more swimming.

Shannon made bubble waffles (what Arlo calls them) so went over for some breakfast. As were we’re eating we saw a buck right outside their windows.

AND Arlo’s first selfie on my phone.

Third swim class.

July 7- Rocky Point Campground Belle Fourche, SD

On our way to our next campground, we were able to stay off the Interstate. Lots of farm land. Saw several antelope, even ones among cattle.

Arrived at Rocky Point Campground. This is a beautiful spot for a campground. Huge reservoir for swimming and kayaking in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

As soon as we were set up, I took a dip. Water was perfect.

Then a brewery for dinner and back to the RV to sit outside and relax!

A gorgeous sunset to end our day

Tomorrow a bike ride on the Mikelson Rail to Trail starting in Deadwood.

June 8 - Swimming and Honey hills Festival

Memorial Pool has open swim on Sundays so that’s where Shan, Arlo and I went. Fun kids area pool. Arlo had fun. Again perfect weather.

Pioneer Park had an afternoon and evening music festival. Good music and fun visiting with Shan and Carl’s friends.

Bailey, Nolan and Arlo.

May 15 - Aqua Zumba and Arlo Swim

Today was my Aqua Zumba class with LuLu. Lots of ladies and great exercise.

Then it was time for Arlo’s swim class. He seemed to enjoy it more than last time I went. No tears this time. Look at his little man bun!

For dinner, I made a shrimp and orzo one pan meal. Turned out quite tasty.

July 4 - Riley Creek Parade and swimming

We were pleasantly surprised to see a small parade at the campground.

These were residents of the small town of Laclede. They made our 4th special.

Next on the agenda was swimming at the beach. It was packed and fun to watch everyone enjoying the day.

Tomorrow we leave for Spokane to pick up Linda.

Around South Lake Tahoe with Erin, Drew and Eim

After the backpackers left, we went for a hike to the Upper Truckee River. we all  played in the water a little. It was so clean and clear.

Decided to take a drive to Truckee for some ice cream and beer. What a combo.

On the way back we stopped at the Tallac Historic site that is on Lake Tahoe. It was a well known resort in the late 1800s. They’ve preserved a lot of the buildings. Unfortunately, the museum wasn’t  open but we enjoyed sitting on the sand by the water and watching the boats on Lake Tahoe.

Came back to camp and had salmon foil packets, a fire and s’mores.

Since we enjoyed Tallac Historic site so much and because we could have dogs on the beach we went back. This time we were a little more prepared with blankets, chairs,  and Phase 10. What fun!

Erin purchased corgi fabric to make masks so she and I spent some time cutting and sewing. Made my day!

And here’s the finished product.

So cute.

But they had to head home to work tomorrow. Yes rears were shed but we have had such a great time, the memories will help till we can see them again.
