June 8 - Swimming and Honey hills Festival

Memorial Pool has open swim on Sundays so that’s where Shan, Arlo and I went. Fun kids area pool. Arlo had fun. Again perfect weather.

Pioneer Park had an afternoon and evening music festival. Good music and fun visiting with Shan and Carl’s friends.

June 6 - Scott’s Flat Lake and Summer Nights Festival

Friday we were back at the lake. Again, another perfect day for kayaking and playing in the water. It’s so beautiful here with the emerald colored water and the trees all around. So glad Shan bought a pass so they can go whenever it suits them.

This is the first Friday for Summer Nights in downtown Nevada City. Beautiful evening to be out and about and to have ice cream!

Nevada City has their Pride flags up and blowing.

May 18 - Hike and Outlaw Festival

A little gardening to start the day.

Since we were leaving the dogs for a long time while we are at the Outlaw Festival, we wanted to tire them out. A hike on the Snow Mountain Canal Trail hopefully did the trick.

We can catch this trail from Shan and Carl’s house. We hiked about 4+ miles.

Wildflowers are starting to pop.

Now it’s time for the Outlaw Festival. What a great outdoor venue. Weather was great with just enough breeze so it wasn’t so hot. TV The drive to Wheatland was easy … and sunny.

The lineup was Sierra Hull, Billy Strings, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.

Arlo didn’t care who was singing. He needed a nap!

And Nana Peg needed a drink.

It was such a fun day for all of us.

Dec 7-8 - Nevada City and Arlo

First stop was to show me their new house. Such a great spot on the hill and so much more space for them.

Shan, Arlo and I had lunch in Grass Valley, all set up for Cornish Christmas on Friday.

After dropping Arlo at Gigi’s daycare for a few hours, we went to the new house to clean.

Then Wednesday night was Miracle Bar for Shan, Donna and I. Glitz and glamour abounded.

After a few cocktails, it was on to the Miner’s Foundry for a Christmas Sing Along.

Friday was the traditional drive into the forest to cut down their Christmas tree.

Up and decorated. Shimmering in the dark.

Friday night was Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley. Weather was perfect and the downtown was booming with vendors and lots of people milling around.

Had my first pastie, I’m in love.

Saturday was another night with Arlo. He’s so much fun. We read, and read and played with cars and trucks.

A drive downtown Nevada City to look at the big vrooms vrooms.

Then it was time to drive down the hill to Sacramento to stay with Erin and Drew before I fly home.
