Cortez Colorado

Decided to stay the night in Cortez on the very southwestern corner of Colorado because the generator wouldn’t start. Bill thought it was the filter that needed changed. He ordered one from O’Reolly auto parts store which would be in the next day.

After talking with his brother, Lew who told him to check the altitude setting, which he did, and that worked. Lew is a genius around motors!

Still decided to stay so pulled into a dispersed camping area we had stayed in before. Unfortunately all the level, good spots were taken and it was raining and muddy. After maneuvering our way out of a muddy situation, (Bill is an amazing driver), we decided to stay at the Montezuma Fairgrounds amidst several horse trailers. Definitely a different place to stay the night.

We were the only non-horse Tralee in the lot. They were having a benefit barrel riding competition on Saturday.

After the rain, a rainbow and then a sunset.

Love the Colorado colors.

In the morning, we took a short hike on a horse trail to get a little exercise.

As we were driving out in the morning, we saw these mountains to the east, part of the Mesa Verde National Park.
