West to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

Picked up the generator’s fuel filter and continued heading west.

Some pictures of the scenery along the way, buttes, bluffs, and mesas.

Part of the Ute Mountains

This is the windy road along Route 160.

We were pleased that the Navajo Nation was able to open so we could walk around the Four Corners. We’ve been here before in 2008 with Lew, Denise and Brenda on our motorcycles. During the pandemic, it was closed. Since then, they’ve made many updates on the area.

Continuing west, we saw this red Mesa

Into Arizona, more rock mountains and breathtaking scenery we don’t see every day.

We were very fortunate to find a spot at Lee’s Ferry Campground at Glen Canyon, AZ. Beautiful spot along the Colorado River. Lots of red rock cliffs.

We walked along the River and Lenny had to play rock in the Colorado!!  It was cold when I walked in.

Weather was about 80 degrees. Just perfect.

This is our view from the campground.

After Bill made dinner, we sat out under the stars. The Milky Way was so evident since there wasn’t any ambient light.

Tomorrow we head to the North Rim to try to capture a camping spot overlooking the Rim.
