Before we left Munich, Bill and I walked to the a little coffee shop we had found earlier. Brutus Backhaus. Such a small well planned space.
Then we met Drew for our last walk through some of the streets of Munich. Saw lots of lederhosen and dirndl outfits, along with different mode of transportation. The locals use bikes to get around the city, even UPS and Amazon. Most of the streets aren’t very wide so this makes sense.
Our flight wasn’t scheduled till 4:30 pm but we needed to take a train to the airport so we left around noon. Drew had chosen our hotel and it was a perfect location, near the train station and near to Oktoberfest.
Munich airport is huge. We got our steps in walking first through Customs and then to our gate. We flew with Lufthansa to San Francisco, then to Sacramento where we picked up our truck and drove to Nevada City around 1 am. Very late night!
