The drive to Munich was on a fast highway with the Alps in the distance. Speed limits changed quickly from no speed limit to 120, 80, 60 kms.
Checked into the Hilton Garden Inn, returned the cars at the airport. Then promptly left for Old Town (Karlsplatz)
Had our first beer in Munich
Saturday was spent at Oktoberfest among crowds of people. We first watched the parade of the different floats that “opened “ Oktoberfest. So many people it was hard to get any photos but captured this one on the way to the “tents” where all the excitement was beginning.
We went to the KinderFest so Arlo could ride the carnival rides.
We all rode the Ferris wheel
Ate some delicious food and drank beer
Each day we were in Munich, we walked between 8 and 10 miles.
